Brief update, weigh-in #17-18

Weighing myself seemed to be the last thing on my mind last week, and I missed it! I will also miss it this Wednesday because I won't be near my scale that day. :) So I weighed myself today and I saw I had gained a half a pound. I am not too worried, since 'tis the season for water weight, if you get my drift. There was also some heavier-than-usual eating happening this weekend, but I kept my portions small.

I've been sick (allergies that have turned into a sinus and ear infection), so blogging has fallen by the wayside as well.

Pablo is chilling out a little bit. Jorge and Julio went to stay with their dad on Friday, and he's been much calmer without them around. When he is around other dogs is is just in hyper mode and wants to play all the time. But this weekend he napped a lot and was pretty chill.

WHERE MY BRUDDERS AT?

Trying I be good all day is really hard work!!

Saturday we had our friend Chad and his gf over for dinner. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of them or what I made! Dinner was thin chicken breasts breaded with a bread crumb mixture that included parmesan cheese and then a sage-butter-lemon-wine-cream sauce to go over it. Wow, that was good! I also made goat cheese mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus and butternut squash, a salad with blue cheese and cranberries and balsamic vinaigrette, white wine sangria and chocolate souffle. It all turned out really good if I do say so myself. We stayed up pretty late (Past midnight, which is really late for me!) playing games... We played Hoopla and it was hysterical!

This is the only picture I took the whole night. See, told ya I was sick! Usually I document everything!

They ended up staying the night, and we made breakfast for them in the morning before they left. It was a really nice way to spend some extended time with friends!

Yesterday was Mother's Day, and we met Josh's mom, sis, neice and nephew at Arrington Vineyards to celebrate. We were in charge of bringing the cheese and crackers, which we excel at. ;) I did take a couple of pictures.

We only stayed about an hour and a half because it was ungodly hot, I quickly turned into a stinky mess, and the Bipster was carrying on like he was about to have heat stroke.

We spent a quiet (and cool!) evening in the house, just relaxing. It was a really nice weekend, although I wish I felt better than I do. Allergies are really killing me this year.

Happy Monday!
